We are not certified organic, but strictly follow sustainable growing practices.  We sell mostly wholesale in the form of bouquets to local independent grocery stores, loose stems to florists and wedding designers, and we also have a retail component to the business with our own wedding flowers and arrangements.

Job Summary:

As a Harvest Crew member, you will be expected to commit to the entire growing season. Harvesting flowers requires extensive training. We provide that training, but we do expect you to commit to our operation in return.

Pay is commensurate with experience.  Starting wage is $17/ hour.

There is an opportunity to earn pay raises as hands-on experience increases.

Earlier in the season (June) the timing of harvest days will be more flexible  Then, as the days get hotter and the volume of harvest increases, we will ask our harvest crew members to commit to regularly starting at 7am. End time is not specified because our work is product driven, and some harvests have more orders than others, however we will usually wrap up the harvest around 1 pm, or 2 pm at the latest. We typically harvest through mid-October, mother nature willing.  Then in late October we finish up the season with field cleanup, and a couple of weeks of digging and processing dahlia tubers.

We ask that you please do not apply for this job If you have current limitations on your physical ability to perform ALL necessary tasks of the job, or if you foresee having limitations on your ability to perform the job.

As a Harvest Crew member, you will be instructed by experienced staff, and will be expected to learn the nuances of harvesting each type of flower that we grow.  Proper harvesting techniques are absolutely essential to a long-lasting, high quality product and the repeat customers that make our business possible.  Efficiency is critical since our harvesting must be both fast and accurate.
