BLOOMS BY THE BUCKET for DIY WEDDINGS & EVENTS:
Our Blooms by the Bucket offering provides DIY bulk flowers for weddings and events in Durango, Colorado. Flowers are sold by the bucket as loose stems for customers to arrange themselves and are available for pickup only from our cooler at James Ranch, 10 miles north of Durango, CO.
There is only a 1 bulk bucket minimum for this type of order. If you are looking for a combo order with bulk buckets plus A La Carte wedding arrangements, please click here. Combo orders have a $500 minimum investment.
Requests must be made at least two weeks in advance of your desired pickup date, but the earlier the better! Orders are taken on a first-come-first serve basis, and popular colors do tend to sell out during the busy wedding season!
Can I choose my flower varieties?
Sorry, no. We are not able to predict or promise exactly which flower varieties will be in your bucket. We are not a traditional wholesaler, and thus we need to maintain the flexibility to work with what is looking best in our fields for your date. Our flowers may swing up to 3 weeks in either direction of “normal” bloom dates on any given year. For a general idea of what may be blooming, please visit What’s In Bloom and click on the button entitled Bloom Time by Month Chart.
How many stems are in each bulk bucket?
Stem count will vary to accommodate the price and size of each type of flower. For example, a dahlia takes up more space in your vase, and is worth more than a stem of Queen Anne’s Lace. Our bulk buckets usually contain about 60- 100 stems, but it varies depending on the price of each flower included. You will receive a 5-gallon bucket, bursting with flowers, which is an incredible value to our customers who have a desire to create DIY arrangements. We love giving customers the option of purchasing direct from our farm and offering access to vibrantly fresh and otherwise unattainable florals.
Is the bucket included?
Yes, the cost of the bucket itself is included in your order. If you would like to recycle, you're welcome to bring your buckets back. Please leave them outside our cooler.
*Due to administrative overhead, we are no longer able to give customers a lower price for bringing their own buckets or for returning buckets.
How does invoicing work? When and how do I pay?
Invoices will be emailed, and payment is due 2 weeks before your pickup. Your order will not be sent to our fields to be harvested until we have received your payment in full. Your emailed invoice will have a link to pay online via credit card or bank transfer.
Is there a contract or deposit required?
For just bulk buckets, no. For a combo order including bulk buckets and a la carte arrangements, yes, a contract is required.
Can I change or cancel my order?
If you change your mind or would like to cancel your bulk bucket order, you must do so in writing at least 2 weeks prior to your pickup date. At 2 weeks out, your payment is due. Your flowers are a custom-grown, custom-harvested, perishable product. If you need to change or cancel your order, we appreciate you giving as much notice as possible.
How do I place an order?
Please inquire for your specific date (by filling out the form below). We will respond via email to confirm your order.
